Journey Fellowship began in 2005, when a small group of Christ Followers set out from Oak Hills Church to create a likeminded community on the Northeast side of San Antonio. We chose an empty restaurant behind the historic Blue Bonnet Palace as our meeting place. At Journey Fellowship we have always tried to be a place “for people who don’t like Church."

In order to do this, we remodeled the old restaurant into a cozy coffee shop. We spend Sunday mornings focusing on extended times of prayer, as well as a great time of worship music, and the insights of teachers like Max Lucado and Randy Frazee.  Instead of putting on huge events and fancy programs, we try to focus on Community Groups:  small, tight-knit groups of believers that meet in each other’s homes.

The small caravan has quickly grown to a bustling band of brothers and sisters. In July 2008, the community moved their worship gatherings to the newly renovated Blue Bonnet Palace. We are excited to see what lies on the road ahead, and hope that you will join us on the journey.
